A Padparadscha Sapphire is the rarest variety of sapphire corundum. To be considered and called “padparadscha,” the gem must show an equal range of mixed colors between orange and pink. Today, padparadscha sapphires are considered one of the most sought after gemstones and can mostly be found in Sri Lanka (Ceylon) and Madagascar.
